The Charles County Board of Education awarded the contract for ES-22 to Scheibel Construction. The 88,847 square foot new school will hold 760 students and cost over $35 million dollars. ES-22 is scheduled to open at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year pending approval of permits. The new two-story masonry structure will include classrooms, a media center, gymnasium, cafeteria, kitchen, administrative area, and other support spaces. The school is designed by Grimm + Parker Architects and is targeting a LEED Silver certification by the USGBC.
