Project Updates

Scheibel Construction was awarded the Northern High School Replacement project in Owings, Maryland.  The groundbreaking was held on August 11, 2016.  The contract will be over $70 million and will be phased over the next three years.    The new high school will be over 213,000 square feet.  The new school will be built adjacent to the existing school.  Once complete, the existing school will be demolished and that area will be turned into parking.  The new high school will house 1,440 students and connect to the existing Mary Harrison Cultural Arts Center which will receive a minor renovation.  The existing stadium will be upgraded.  This project is designed by GWWO Architects and is targeting a LEED Silver certification by the US Green Building Council.
