Project Manager

Seeking a dedicated and motivated team player with 5 + years of project management experience within the construction industry. Previous experience with a General Contractor/Construction Management firm is required. The position reports to our Vice President of Operations and primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage all job cost estimates and all finances for the entire project
  • Develop cost-effective project specific plans and schedules for project completion
  • Attending and participating in progress, subcontractor, and coordination meetings at the project locations, including project locations in all of Maryland, DC and in Virginia locations north of Richmond
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations managing multiple commercial projects including reading and interpreting construction documents, writing subcontracts, submittal review and distribution, RFI tracking and distribution, negotiate subcontractor change orders, approve and process all requisitions
  • Work with the Owner, Project Team throughout the project and coordinate all progress meetings
  • Manage the close out and warranty processes of the project
  • Work in conjunction with the project supervisor to ensure the safety of all workers

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management Engineering, Architecture or similar field with 5+ years of experience within the construction or related industries and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project & Timberline software. Must have the ability to multitask, prioritze, manage time efficiently, and work independently. Senior Project Manager

Seeking a Sr. Project Manager with 10+ years of commercial construction experience. Previous experience with a General Contractor/Commercial Construction Management firm is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering is preferred, but not required. This position reports to our Director of Operations and primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide management oversight for all phases of multiple construction projects, including coordination of subcontractors, compliance with contract documents, and ensuring work is proceeding on schedule and within budget
  • Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of a project
  • Attending and participating in progress, subcontractor, and coordination meetings at the project locations, including project locations in all of Maryland, DC and in Virginia locations north of Richmond
  • Work in conjunction with the project supervisor to ensue the safety of all workers
  • Coordinate with the Superintendent to oversee all onsite activities and ensure compliance with the schedule and contract documents
  • Scope and award all trade subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Oversee the performance of all trade contractors
  • Supervise assistant project managers and oversee the submittal management and RFI process
  • Manage the overall project finances including reviewing and managing the budget, tracking expenses, requisitions, and subcontractor payments
  • Manage the change order process for owner and subcontractor change orders
  • Manage the project close-out process including sustainability documentation, commissioning, and all close-out documentation
  • Prepare internal reporting for project accounting, scheduling, and long lead-time material tracking

The ideal candidate will have commercial construction project management experience. They must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time efficiently, and work both independently and in a team environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. Estimator

We are currently seeking an Estimator with 5+ years of commercial construction experience. Previous experience with a General Contractor/Commercial Construction Management firm is preferred. Subcontractor experience is acceptable. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Candidate must have experience with reading drawings and estimating. This position reports to our Director of Estimating and primary responsibilities include:

  • Prepare estimates of the cost of materials, labor, equipment of multiple sized construction projects
  • Scope all trades (strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing preferred)
  • Work with the Owner, Project Team throughout the pre-construction process
  • Ability to comprehend contract specifications
  • Ability to identify, adapt to, and resolve complex issues
  • Proficient in take-off software and excel based software required

The ideal candidate will have commercial construction estimating experience. Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time efficiently, work independently, and in a team environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. Must be dedicated and motivated and have the ability to work under strict deadlines.
