Scheibel Construction was awarded the contract for the new Fairview Fire Station. The existing 8,500-square-foot, single-story, two-bay fire station will be replaced with a new, approximately 13,500-square-foot, two-story, three-bay facility on the same site. The upgraded station is designed to support both current and future operational needs, providing expanded space for additional personnel, individual bunk rooms, modern apparatus bays, and improved administrative and living areas.
The project integrates a variety of sustainability features, aiming for a minimum of LEED Gold certification, a 50% reduction in energy use, and a Net Zero Energy design. To support this, the facility will utilize all-electric systems and equipment, along with photovoltaic (PV) panels and geothermal heating and cooling systems.
The new fire station will be located at 5600 Burke Centre Parkway, Fairfax Station, Virginia, near the intersection of Burke Centre Parkway and Ox Road. Scheibel Construction is excited to work with Fairfax County Government and Samaha Architects on this project!
